CPT Aspirants: Learn with Fun

Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is an entry level examination for admission to the Chartered Accountancy (CA) Course. A 10th Passed student can register for CPT Course.

How to purchase Mobisys Products?

All Mobisys products are locked version (with Limited functionality) unless you register your mobile. Eg:- Vocabol gives access to only 50 words from around 4000 words in locked version. So, to take the full advantage of product, you will need to register your mobile for particular product.

In order to register the mobile, you will need to purchase the License key by using the "Unique Code" of your mobile. Unique code of your mobile is nothing but Bluetooth address which is unique for each mobile. Using that unique code we will generate the License key for your mobile.

Following is the step-by-step procedure to purchase the license key and register your mobile.

1) Get the 12-char Unique Code of your Mobile

First make sure that Bluetooth is ON. Now, Launch the Application on your mobile and navigate to "Get Unique Code" option. The "Get Unique Code" option is as shown in above image.

2) Note down Unique Code of Mobile

Note down the unique code of your mobile. 12-char in blue font (0000000DECAF as shown in above image) is the unique code of mobile.

3) Make Payment

Both, Online and Offline options are available to make the payment.

1. Online Payment: To make the payment online, Navigate to product page which you want to purchase from http://www.mobisys.in/wesell.php. Go to "Buy License Key". Fill the required form. It will also ask for "Mobile Unique Code". Enter the 12-char unique code which you noted down in step-2. You can make the payment through Credit Card, Paypal and Wired Transfer. You will receive the license key along with invoice in your mail box.
   
2. Offline Payment(Indian Citizen): Indian Citizen can make the payment offline through Cheque/Demand Draft. Download and fill the payment form as per the instructions given in form. Send the printed copy of payment form along with Cheque/DD in favor of "MAHAVIR JAIN" payable at Pune and Mobile unique code noted in step-2 at address "Mobisys Technologies, 283/MP1, Prestige Point, Office No. 36, Shukrawar Peth, Pune - 411 002. You will receive the license key along with the invoice in the mailbox as soon as your cheque/DD get clear.
3. Cash Deposit: You can directly deposit cash/cheque/DD into the ICICI Bank a/c number 000501552625 in name of MAHAVIR JAIN. Branch Name: Bund Garden Road, Pune.
   

4) Register your Mobile

First make sure that Bluetooth is ON. Now, Launch the Application on your mobile and Follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to "Register" option as shown in the image above.
2. Enter the License Key received from us in the Text Box
   
3. If License key is valid, it will show the dialog "Thank you for Registering."

Hurray!! Now you are registered user. You can now take the full advantage of product.

Using Vocabol effectively.

Even though Vocabol is easy-to-use, we can use Vocabol in more effective manner. Following is the list of features of Vocabol and MnemonicVocabol.

• Contains about 3700 words from barrons word-list.
• Each word is with definition, synonym, antonym and sentence.
• You can customise to view definition, synonym, antonym and sentence individually or at same time.
• You can mark each word as learnt.
• You can also search for particular word.
• You can now keep track of which word you have read how many times.
• You can bookmark the important words.
• There are about 1200 questions of antonym, 750 questions of Analogies and 250 questions on sentence completion.
• Small and precise explanation provided for analogies and sentence completion answers.
• You can add your own mnemonic for each word apart from existing mnemonics, in case of MnemonicVocabol.
  

Lets see each feature one by one with screenshots :)

Each word is with definition, synonym, antonym , usage and Mnemonic (in case of MnemonicVocabol)

1) Go to Learn Words.
2) It shows the list of words.
3) Press "Show" from menu button to view the word definition. It will show the words definitions, synonym, antonym and its usage.

Keeping track of which word has been read how many times.

You can mark each word as learnt.


1) Go to Learn Words.
2) Then Show Word.
3) At the end their is "Mark as Learnt" option.
4) Sad smiley shows Not Learnt Word while Happy smiley shows Learnt words :).

You can bookmark the important words for quick review.


1)Navigate to Show word screen.
2)In Menu their is "Bookmark Word" option.
3) In word list, words with STAR icon are bookmarked words.
4) Now from Main Screen, you can access bookmarked words by navigating to "Show Bookmark" option.

You can customise to view definition, synonym, antonym and sentence individually or at same time.

1) Navigate to "Settings" from Main Screen.
2) Uncheck the component which you are not interested in. (For eg: Synonym and Antonym is unchecked in screenshot.).
3) Now Navigate to "Show Word" screen. It does not display the components which you have unchecked. (For Eg: In screenshot, synonym and antonym does not get displayed as in screenshot above.).

You can add your own mnemonic for each word in case of MnemonicVocabol.


1) Navigate to "Show Word" screen.
2) Go to "Add my Mnemonic" option from Menu.
3) Add your own Mnemonic in the Dialog box which get displayed.
4) Click "Ok".
5) It will show your Mnemonic.

There are about 1200 questions of antonym, 750 questions of Analogies and 250 questions on sentence completion.


1) On Navigating to "Solve Question" option from Main Screen, It will show the list of type of questions.
2) Navigate to required type of questions.
3) It will show the list of questions.
4) View the question by pressing "OK" key.
5) Solve the Question.
6) Navigate to next question by pressing right arrow key of your mobile.
7) In list the green image icon shows solved question is correct, red image icon shows question solved is incorrect while yellow image icon shows question is not attempted yet.

In this way you can use Vocabol in day-to-day study anytime, anywhere(eg: while waiting at bus stop for bus).

From Mobile Wordlist to Mnemonic Vocabol

Very basic version was developed and released informally in Oct-2008. It was having only GRE wordlist and its meaning. Moreover student can mark the word as learnt. Basic idea was to manage the wordlist.

Vocabol v1.0

Later basic mobile wordlist was improved to more useful application with many good features. We named application as VOCABOL and released version 1.0 at www.getjar.com. On getjar we got very good response and it was one of the featured app for one month. Vocabol v1.0 was having wordlist alongwith its meaning, synonym, antonym and usage of each word in the wordlist. Student can customize to view each of its component, mark each word as learnt, search for particular word, bookmark important word for quick review. Also added was arround 2500 questions of antonym, sentence completion and analogy to solve for students.

Vocabol v2.0

UI for Vocabol v1.0 was not consistent throughout all mobiles and used to vary depending on themes of mobile. So we released the v2.0 in Aug-2009 whose UI is same across all mobiles. Number of times the word has been read previously feature was added as suggested by some GRE students.

Soon after release of Vocabol v2.0, Mobisys tied up with MnemonicDictionary.com to release MnemonicVocabol. In MnemonicVocabol, each word is with Mnemonics which is provided by MnemonicDictionary.com. Moreover, Students can add his/her own mnemonic to each word.

In this way simple idea of Mobile Wordlist evolved into more polished application.
